Robert Donnelly, President and Director, Ph.D.
Dr. Donnelly is a senior management executive based in Christchurch (New Zealand) and working largely in the Southern Hemisphere with a focus on MERCOSUL and Australasian regions. Working independently or with other groups, specific assignments have included project development, market development, strategic planning, mill optimization plus acquisition & mergers. During 1985 -1988, Dr. Donnelly was responsible for a business turn-around at PAPEL IMPRENSA(Brazil), with the assistance of Mr. Martti Kangas. Recent activities have included: assisting CHAMPION acquire a US $ 230 million light-weight coated producer, INPACEL (Brazil); advising CHAMPION (U.S.) senior management on projects at TRES LAGOAS and AMAPA (Brazil), plus participating in paper mill optimisation projects at KLABIN(Brazil) and PAPEL IMPRENSA(Brazil). Dr. Donnelly has undertaken project work with most of the major Brazilian pulp & paper producers and similarly in Australasia. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Yale University (U.S.) in economics and forestry.
